Our Story
It is said that 'left brain' thinkers excel in logic, facts and analytics - whereas the right-brained fraternity find their niche in art, creativity and imagination.
My background was split. Right down the middle. The first 19 years of my working life were as a graphic designer - working in the creative media industry, running an advertising design studio before branching out into production and business management, along with project management and videography.
Then in 2010 came redundancy and a chance to reinvent myself.
I trained in data and analytics, creating management Information and business intelligence. I worked for a tech startup and helped develop their MI offering from the ground up - moving seamlessley from Photoshop, Freehand, InDesign and Illustrator - to Excel, Qlikview, PowerBI and NPrinting.
The ability to combine facts, data, analysis and logic with style, artistry and a design flair is apparently quite rare... a real business 'unicorn.'
And that is how Unicorn Data & Analytics was born.
